Have the Best Day Ever!

Did you know that every day has the potential of being the greatest day of your life? Start with today!

HOW DO YOU WAKE UP?

How do you wake up each day or on most days?  Are you excited about the new day, do you dread the upcoming day or could you care less about it?  When your life is going great, you don’t have issues with waking up with a smile on your face.  When life is challenging whether for personal or professional reasons, it can be a chore to get up and see or feel the good in the day that is ahead of you.  Feelings are real, no doubt.  However, feelings do not always represent the truth in that moment or situation.  For instance, remember back in the day when you went through a breakup with someone and you felt rejected and thought “My life is over?”  The rejection was real and it hurt, but your life was not over.  You are not a loser even if you feel it in the moment.  So don’t let your feelings dictate the type of day you will have.

“A winner is a dreamer who never gives up,” Nelson Mandela

YOUR RECIPE FOR THE BEST DAY EVER!

What is the recipe for having the best day ever? Start with your mindset…what are the thoughts you are focusing on (what self-limiting beliefs live there) so you can upgrade your mindset. Your mindset feeds into your emotions and ultimately it impacts your actions. Next, add the following:

1.   Be present.  Worrying and stressing about tomorrow (and beyond) only brings the stress of that future moment into today.

2.   Do something for yourself today.  Why? You deserve it.

3.   Get your mindset in gear. Start with a special quote or scripture when you first wake up: “Today is going to be the best day ever!” “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”

4.   Look for something good to happen. Expect it!

5.   Spend time at night to have an attitude of gratitude (write it down big or small). Studies show that writing five minutes a day in a gratitude journal can increase your long-term well-being by more than 10 percent.

“Never give up! Failure and rejection are only the first steps to succeeding,” Jim Valvano

6.   Read your gratitude list from the previous night in the morning.

7.   Laugh. It is proven that laughing has health benefits for you.

8.   Be INTENTIONAL with all of the above.

THIS I KNOW…. What you perceive is what you believe whether it is accurate or not.

“Happiness doesn’t come from big pieces of great success, but from small advantages hammered out day by day.” – Jim Rohn

If you believe (and expect) the best is yet to come … it will and I believe it starts today. Your best day is in front of you, you just need to take the time to see it and let it manifest around you. Do you mean I can have the best day ever in the toughest of times? You can. It can look like someone being kind to you, smiling at you, helping you out with an errand, giving you a much-needed hug, and so on. Don’t rush it! It is being at peace with who you are and who you are becoming. It is believing you are on this earth, created by God for a purpose, and have been given a personal mission that only you can fulfill. Believing this and getting it into your heart and mind will help you stay on course to having the best day ever through the seasons of change, challenges, life-happening moments, and those life lessons to be learned.

HAVE THE BEST DAY EVER BECAUSE YOU ARE THE BEST!
